Don Eadie Update

Don and Christina Eadie
David Perugini recently received this Directory update and holiday message from classmate Donald Eadie:

Mele Kalikimaka and Hau'oli Makahiki Hou! We moved to Texas this past year. I enjoyed a 27 year career flying the world for Delta Air Lines. In 2005 I married my soul-mate, my travel partner and my best friend and In 2007 I retired and now help my wife, Christina, with her Art Glass business. In our free time we travel and we spend our winters in Texas and our summers in Maine. It has been a incredible life, full of amazing adventures, wonderful people and a long string of outstanding recoveries.

Congratulations to Don, for many wonderful reasons!

We're delighted to have received Don's updated email information, as we lost touch with him for a while.  His newest contact information will appear in the next update of our upcoming Post-Holiday Directory Update.

At this point in our lives, many folks are moving to new locations and changing their contact information.  If we're not notified about such changes, emails bounce back and we are unable to stay in touch.  So, if any of your listing information requires an update, please be sure to contact David by email.

Historic Ossining Video

This video produced by Ossining Village Historian, Dana White, shows Ossining in its glory days... the Ossining we grew up in.  It's sad to watch the beautiful historic buildings disappear in the name of "urban renewal," but it's worth taking the time to watch and reflect on the wonderful years that we all remember.

65@70 Birthday Bash in the Carolinas?

Following our 50th reunion last year, many people expressed an interest in not waiting until our 55th to get together again.  With that in mind, some conversation has taken place among classmates on Facebook regarding planning a 65@70 Birthday Bash in the Carolinas in the Fall of 2017.   I'm willing to organize a gathering in the Charlotte, NC area and Rita Rolls Beirne has offered to help with organizing something in the Charleston, SC area.  We could do one or the other location or BOTH.  It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive from one area to the other, so we could plan events in both places over several days.  It's not too soon to start thinking about this, so please contact me to let me know if you'd be interested in attending and which area you'd prefer... or if you'd be willing to go to both areas.  Many people have already offered to help in any way they can.

David Perugini

Tony Blaumauer – the older brother of our classmate Frank Blauer – has been a good friend to my father (Philip Perugini, Head Custodian at OHS during our school years). He takes him to play golf and on various outings to ’tip a few’ together. Last week I was picking up my Dad at one such outing at the American Legion Post 1597 in Crotonville, when Tony said, “Check out who’s behind you — from the Class of '65!” It was John (‘Jack’) Garrett, looking good, trim and very much like the Jack we knew in 1965! It turns out that Jack often accompanies my father and Tony on their golf outings. Jack explained that he had planned to attend our 50th, but a last minute family situation interfered. Check out the shirt Jack was wearing - Class Spirit is strong in Jack!

Roseline Poderyki Young

Hi all, I apologize for being delinquent in corresponding with my class members that made OHS such a great and comfortable environment!!! Henry and and I always enjoyed the full and mini reunions we attended. Sadly the last 1 1/2 years have been a personal rollercoaster of illness that has swung between disaster and hope... Henry became ill with what we thought was sciatica and I was diagnose with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer.  Luckily I have been able to tolerate the chemo very well. Sadly after a couple hospitalizations that Henry miraculously recovered from, the surgeon discovered late stage gastric Cancer
(hard to diagnose early ) at the end of November during surgery that we thought would resolve his gastric issues. He passed away on Feb.28.   I am back on chemo for a second time and am trying to live day at a time (not as easy as it sounds).  I'm doing ok and have fabulous support from family (even though they live far away ) and friends.  I believe the friendships I formed at OHS laid the groundwork for the importance of friendship through out my life. I promise to be more up when I post again.  In fact , I'll start now by saying I was so very Lucky to have been married to Henry for 38 years that brought us closer with every passing year....

Michael J. "Big Mike" Sellazzo Scholarship Fund

Mike's Sellazzo's family has shared this information with us...

In MIKE SELLAZZO's honor, a scholarship fund is being created for 3 local high school seniors - from Ossining HS, Panas HS and Putnam Valley HS.  The qualifications are all of what embodied our dad,  community service, school spirit, and dedication to others.  We have a board that will review the applications.  This is first year so we not sure how much the scholarship will be, but whatever we raise we give 100% back.  It will help pay for books, food, etc.

The 1st Annual Big Mic Battle and Talent Competition (benefiting the Michael J. "Big Mike" Scholarship) will be on April 9th from 7-11PM at Table 9 Restaurant in Cortlandt Manor. We are planning an amazing evening full of good food, drinks and fun! Due to the size of the venue we have limited tickets and would like to provide our close family and friends the opportunity to purchase tickets before they are made available to the public.

Tickets are $90 for single or $175 a couple (this includes, dinner, open bar, dj & dancing) and can be purchased via paypal through the following links:
