My husband, Philip, and I enjoyed getting together with Bill and Sue Bruni this past weekend. Great meal... great friends... what more could you ask for?

Since we had such a good time at the reunion, I organized a "mini" reunion here in Naples, Florida.

I've spent most of my life after 1983 back in my roots of Ossining. At the present, I live in Croton.

I raised my daughter from the age of 9 years old in Ossining and she also is a graduate of OHS, and my son moved to Ossining at the age of 20 years old.

I bought my business in 1989 (Deli-Catering) in North Tarrytown and in 1995 General Motors Training Center asked me to relocate my business to Tarrytown. Sold my business in 2002 and went to work at Pocantico Hills Central School as Food Service Manager.

My children:

Sarah (35 years old) is living in Mohegan Lake. She gave me my first grandchild in 2007 - TJ (Thomas Augustine Conti, Jr.). He is the "man" in my life -- What a great gift anyone could receive! He has blessed me with a new breath of experience. Sarah is an accountant with a firm in Greenburgh.

Michael, my son, left Ossining and is now living in Oneonta. Michael is 42 years old and is a supervisor at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. He also owns his own company, Enviro-Clean By Stan (Stanley is his 1st name).

My brother, Al Jones (class of 1966), passed away September 2002 from a car accident. He has 3 daughters, 1 son, and 4 grandchildren: Jennifer Jones (40), Kristen Femenella (38), Rebecca Jones (17), and Max Jones (15). I have helped raise Max and Becca with their mom, Annette Ecke.

My life has been busy (work-a-holic) and can't believe we graduated 44 years ago!

Paul Stavis

I truly regret not being able to attend the reunion. Even though, I praise all of you who put this together and all of my high school friends and colleagues who will be there. I will be there in spirit.








Here is a brief update on the Stavis Family.
In 1995 I married my wonderful wife, Nafsika (her name is of a Greek mythological princess) and we were blessed with my daughter, Dominique, in 1998. Nafsika is a certified ultra-sound technician at Albany Medical Ctr. Hospital and Dominique is a 7th grade high honor student (having skip one grade already), and plays both basketball and soccer. She loves to watch Tom Brady of the Patriots and is wearing his jersey in the photo. We have a very large Greek family here in Albany and are very happy to live here.

My legal career has been very eclectic. I have been the general counsel or deputy counsel for four NYS agencies over the last 27 years, having most recently been the "house counsel" for the NYS Department of Health. I have also been a professor of law at George Mason Law School and currently an adjunct professor at Albany Law School. The pictures show my appearance on ABC's "Nightline" TV show for my work and publications in law and psychiatry. I have recently left the state for private practice and to publish more, including working on a book on the health crisis in our state and society in general.

Lastly, it was our intent to come to the reunion and, indeed, we started making plans to do so. However, with regret, we are unable to attend. We hope you all have a great time and send our best regards to you all.

I am so sorry that my daughter's college parent weekend has made it impossible for me to come to the reunion. I am really pleased to have reconnected with some old friends, and I hope that there will be an occasion to get together with all of you in the not too far distant future. Neil (class of 64) and I have been together since I invited him to the senior prom. We have four kids and three grandchildren. We have lived on Holbrook Lane in Chilmark for 30 years and our kids walked to OHS and injoyed it as much as we did. Neil has worked in NYC in the textile industry and I have been working for the last 12 years in real estate. I still see and have contact with friends from both Roosevelt (especially Janet) and OHS. Enclosed is a picture of our kids at Meghan's wedding this past year (Son Chris, wife Erin, Courtney, Molly, Meghan and husband Bo Blair) and my 4th grade class from Roosevelt school (posted at PHOTOS FROM THE PAST).

Sorry to miss the reunion. I was back east when I received notice of the gathering, but Michael and I were scheduled to drive home to California before the event. I'm a traveler. My partner and I just car camped across the U.S. 11,000 miles in 11 weeks. If you'd like, check out my new blog thegladnomad.blogspot.com. Highlights of the last 44 years include a good 26 year marriage with an amicable divorce; a lovely daughter, Julia (26); living in the Boston area, southern California, Kentucky and New Mexico;writing and self-publishing three books and one co-authored play; traveling all over the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, India, Australia, China, Ireland, the British Isles and Europe; offering energetic healing and living with my dear partner of almost five years. Not to forget a new hip this year. Keeping mobile is important as we mature. The best to everyone in the class of 1965. Maybe I'll make it to the next get together.

Lisa Riker Turner sends her best to everyone at the reunion and says she is sorry that she cannot attend, but she will be there in spirit! Lisa says she hopes everyone has a great time and OHS will always live in her heart.

Lisa has 4 children ages 29-38, and is a proud Grandmother of 5 Grandchildren.

After graduation, Rich enlisted in the Air Force. He retired with 40 years of combined service with the Air Force Reserves and Civil Service.

Cheryl worked as a secretary at Grasslands Hospital (Westchester Medical Center) until our marriage. Cheryl worked and retired from Public Health with the State of Delaware.

We have been married for 41 years. We have two sons, four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Since retirement, we have become full-time RVers. We are occasional work campers and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Hi Everyone,

I moved to AZ. In 1988 and retired from county government in January. I have two children Catherine and Brian. I have two grandchildren Tommy 6 and Rachel 3. My son and his wife are having a boy in November. They all live near Boston and I visit often. I was there in July and enjoyed going to the RI and MA beaches. I visited friends in Ossining. It was nostalgic to see OHS and the old house. My friend Mike and I both have acreage at Copper Canyon Ranch in Globe, which is 80 miles east of PHX. We travel there to escape the heat and enjoy the wide- open space.

I'm sure the reunion will be a success.

I’ve been married to Ginny (‘Fagan’ class of ’67) for 40 years. We live in Dutchess County where I have been retired from Verizon for 6 years. We have three lovely grandchildren ages 1, 6 and 9 that live nearby and keep us very active RV’ing with them. I also enjoy golf, NASCAR, and Amateur Radio and still very active as a Volunteer Fireman.

An October Hawaiian vacation will keep me from the reunion, so I’ve tried to formulate thoughts to share. My life has been full, sometimes difficult, always with laughter. I am grateful. I’ve had the opportunity to complete an MS, teach, enjoy a business career, & have wonderful friends & family. Work transferred me often: NY, FL, CA, and Las Vegas. I contently enjoy my fourth marriage, to Tony Duran, a retired submarine chief who tracked foreign subs & dropped Navy Seals into Asia while I marched in DC. What a wonderful era we live in; Cold War to space travel, telescope to microscope. My Taoist, Buddhist, Native American beliefs convince me that science & philosophy converge in the 21st C. Particles & people vibrate; change the vibration, alter reality.

I’ve traveled through most of North America, + parts of Central America, & Europe. No biological children, but I enjoy my step kids. Tony & I plan to visit Katie as she works on her Master’s in France. David attends community college, uncertain about career plans. Jeff is well established in San Diego & is fluent in multiple languages. As I remember, it took me three tries to pass Olive Evans’ French I class! They amaze me!

I love to travel, to read, to practice & teach tai chi. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Lohan Spiritual Cultural Center, & volunteer for a local hospice. In January 2010, I will retire but work per diem as a Spiritual Counselor for hospice patients & families. As an ordained Buddhist priest, work with the dying has become my service.

I am well and living in central MA near the Quabbin reservoir. My love - Iva - and I were married (second time for both) a year ago. Iva has two daughters, early 30s. I am retired from the public and non-profit housing sectors after working in the Chicago, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Boston areas. We have a 1855 house off beautiful Barre common. I am chairman of the Barre Planning Board, an actor with the Barre Players (presently in "Translations" as Jimmy Jack Cassie) and a volunteer with the East Quabbin Land Trust Iva is originally from the Czech Republic and we enjoy traveling there and elsewhere in Europe.

I have fond memories of growing up in Torbank (and later Chilmark), attending Brookside School (pushing the piano around to various classrooms with Ray Tuttle), playing in Little League and earning badges with the Boy Scouts. Back then OHS was the "Indians" and had a wonderful mix of societal groups, with great academics, athletics and extra-curricular activities. I can still remember the smelly fruit from the ginkgo trees in the fall, the Key Club convention in the Catskills, trying to figure my way through PSSC physics and enjoying performances by the OHS band. Enough for now. Hoping to see many of you at the reunion.

Madeline Damiano Edwards

Rod and I are still together, bless his heart and soul (wink). We have 3 beautiful children: Rodney, Firefighter (married to Rebecca); David, Detective (married to Avery); and Dana Marie a Financial Analysis (married to Damian). They have all made us proud and at some point or other gave us each a grey hair or two on our heads. Did I say our? I meant Rod's head. I still have beautiful chestnut hair with auburn highlights- depending on the day or the hair color formula I used.

Our children have given us 6 wonderful, active, life affirming grandchildren: Kevin, Madison (she is like me in many ways), Lauren, Andrew, Daniel, and our newest grandson, Julian, who is just 2 months old.

I work for the Ossining School District, so in some ways, I never left school. Rod retired from Verizon and works part time for the District as well. The school district has contributed to our lives in so many ways. Jill (Irving) Sherwood and I are still writing notes to each other! That is why the idea of a reunion is like "comfort food" to me (without the calories). Speaking of which, the Reunion Committee did a wonderful job reaching out to everyone and putting in so much time and effort. The blog is very creative and informative. Thank You. Finally, I am sad to see so many of our classmates have passed away. We are not that old to have lost so many. God bless them.

I’ve spent most of my adult life living in a small Hamlet named High Falls in rural Ulster County. I retired from Orange County Community College as Facility Manager and moved to Florida in 2005 to beat escalating prices (Ha! Ha!) and for Kathy’s health. I am currently working as Director of Facilities Operations at Santa Fe College and will probably never be able to retire now. In the family shot left to right we have Erik Jr., who goes as Happy, and is 32 and a screen and TV actor. Next to him is our youngest daughter, Katrina. She is 27 and has lived in South Florida for the last five years and just moved to NYC, where she is a therapist. Next comes my wife of 34 years, Katharine. She is an RN and works at a pediatric facility for fragile children. Then the bride, Krista, who is 30, lives in Jacksonville, FL, and works as a carnivore keeper at a private reserve called White Oak. I’m next, followed by my youngest son, Tory, who is a student at Hunter College in NYC.

All, Evan graduated HS last Friday and thought I'd share an updated photo of our family. Evan and Leah are in Italy now for 2 weeks with the senior class Euro trip (Leah is a tour guide!) Evan will attend U. of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in the fall. Leah will stay on in Italy for the summer and work on an organic farm, and return in September, when she'll begin her job with Deloitte in auditing, here in in NJ near our home.

Hello everyone,

In 1968, I moved to Florida with a girl named Jody Paolillo. Young and confused, our relationship lasted only a year and a half. My obsession with diving didn't help, but the exercise was great. Trim and fit. Guess you could say my greatest love was the ocean floor. Later, I met Shirley who lived in Hollywood Florida. We traveled from Florida to Ossining on a Triumph 650 motorcycle. I sold the bike and bought a VW bus from Dave Perugini's grandfather. We then moved to and worked in the Woodstock / Kingston area for 2 years before moving to Colorado. Bought 4 acres of land (almost 9000 feet in elevation). I had to laugh when I received a letter from someone in the Midwest. He asked .... "How do you breathe up there"?

I've been living in the rural areas, adjacent to Colorado Springs for about 34 years. Briefly lived in Northeast Arizona for about a year and a half. Not a great place. My wife (Patricia) and I came back and now live on a ridge 30 miles East of the Springs. Patricia is my third wife and the most wonderful of the three. We've been married for 22 great years. Third one's a charm, right ? We love to dance (at home) to some romantic tunes from the late 50s and newer after wine on Friday night.

Most of my work was in graphic arts which included dark room work in custom photo labs. After years of self tutoring through books and magazines, I later became self employed, grinding and polishing telescope optics (mirror optics) for amateur astronomers. Google my name. I've been married to George Then for 40 years- this July! We met spring of senior year and the rest is history. We lived in Yorktown Hts. for years but moved to Florida in 2000. We are trying to move to the southwest but this economy is killing us! We never had kids but have 3 lovely cocker spaniels- sure saves on college bills! Best to everyone!

My wife Nancy (of 41 years) and I have settled in Madison, WI and have three children who live in Seattle, St. Paul, and New York City all of whom are happy in their adult lives and thankfully employed . I am a physician and practiced my entire career of internal medicine in Madison and am still actively working. It's been a real pleasure to read about all our classmates and their paths over the short time since we were seniors. Thanks to Pook, David, and others who have put so much energy to get us together. One of the best revelations about our class is that my good buddy Ric Feeney is a real live(and very devoted) minister - I don't remember him always leading us down the right path in high school but know he will do that now. My best wishes to all the class of "65.

First , I want to thank the reunion committee for all their hard work. We are all very lucky they are so talented and dedicated to making our reunion successful. My husband and I are looking forward to attending the reunion. Henry and I have been married for 31 years and have resided in Rhinebeck , NY for 25 years . We met at IBM as programmers. We both retired from IBM in 1993 . In the interim we have pursued other work and volunteer efforts. We are both now adjusted to retirement and are learning to enjoy our Florida condo in St. Pertersburg ( near Tampa ) for a few months in the winter.

I 'm not sure any of you will remember me because I left OHS in 1963 to move to Cold Spring, New York. I graduated from Haldane High School in 1965 and although I made many good friends there, I have always considered Ossining my home. My name is Sharon Oliver Probst and I have been married to Ernie for 42 years. We made our home in Hopewell Junction for many years, but have retired and moved to Sunny Florida. The Villages to be exact. I have 2 children, one son 39 ("oh my how could that be") and a 35 year old daughter. I have a granddaughter 6 and 2 grand-puppies. I play golf, travel, enjoy playing cards and am a professional clown. I am so looking forward to coming to the reunion in October and seeing a lot of old friends.

It's beautiful, but we really miss NY and our family. Our younger son Andy and his wife just had their first child, and we expect to be in New York soon for a baptism.

Hello All:

I've been married for forty two years to Frank and we still live in Ossining. We have one son, Scott, who is now 38 and has been married for ten years. We've been blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Jordyn (6) and Jake (4). They live in Charlottesville, Virginia.

My life has been an interesting journey. After retiring from the medical field, I became involved with comedy improv and have been teaching and performing it for 20 years. I'm a member of Andy's Improvibilities and do videos for Second Half Laughs. I still love to sing and utilize my singing during my performances. I feel truly blessed that I have been able to live out my theatrical dreams on many levels. I also enjoy interior decorating, jewelry design, dancing, cooking, hiking and traveling.

I was saddened to see that so many of our fellow classmates have passed on. May their memories live on by the family and friends that loved them. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

I have been married to Ed for 38 years this year. We have been retired and living in Brewster, MA since 1996 (that is on Cape Cod). Ed was employed with Burlington Industries, i.e. textiles. He headed up the Burlington scatter rug division. I was employed as a medical technician for over 25 years, but managed to dance for about 10 years with a small company in NY. Some of you might remember I studied dance during my youth. I returned to dance at age 26 with this company and that was the toughest challenge for myself. We enjoy our life on Cape Cod, have met numerous friends through golf and this organization called Nauset Newcomers. I am looking forward to this reunion and cannot believe how many of you have responded. Thanks to a geat reunion committee.

Many thanks to the organizers of this reunion! I would not have guessed before David and Pook "found" me that I would be so happy at the prospect of seeing everyone. It's already been a joy to hear about people that I've not seen in 44 years (that's an unbelievably big number). I am eager to share memories of high school and elementary school as well. The headlines: I have been married to Colin Greer for 32 years. We have 3 children, Simon, age 40 (my stepson), Olivia, 28, and Lucy, 18, and Owen, our first grandchild born this October. I am a clinical psychologist-psychoanalyst in private practice with individual adults, families,couples and kids on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Before that I was a modern dancer and a nursery school teacher. My family and I enjoy summers in upstate NY and Long Island, and since Colin is English, we visit England frequently. It's been so interesting to read the blog and think about where the wind has blown our class and how much diversity there is in the lives everyone is leading. I look forward to more. I've been married to Ernie Gore for twenty four years, have three step children and five grandchildren. We have lived in Arlington Heights, IL; Arcadia, California; La Jolla, California, New York, NY; Pacific Palisades, CA; and are now retired in Palm Desert, CA. I enjoy playing golf, photography,ceramic sculpture and needlepointing. We are looking forward to the reunion in October - a double pleasure trip - getting to New York and seeing "old" friends! This will also be a great sacrifice since we will miss the USC/Notre Dame game on the 17th. We are avid USC fans!
