Sad News: Passing of Joe D'Angelo

I just posted a 'Happy Birthday' on Joe's Facebook page, only to immediately see a 'Happy Birthday in Heaven' post from his sister-in-law. I Private Messaged her and she informed me that Joe passed away in July of COVID.

 Update: I'm having difficulty finding an obituary, so I'll include Joe's home address below in case anyone wishes to be in contact:

Reposing Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining NY 10562, on Sunday January 17, 2021 from 1-5PM.

Funeral Service at St. Augustine's Church on Monday January 18, 2021 at 10 AM. Burial at St. Augustine's Cemetery.

We Mourn the Passing of Helen Gantz

4/9/2020

Helen passed away on April 9, 2020 from stroke complications. 

 

She was happily married to Allen W. Gantz (who passed on April 1, 2018) for more than 51 years and is survived by her daughters Amy Gantz-Cheatham and husband Lenny of MD and Natalie (Gantz) Zembrzuski her husband Ken and their children Zachary and Hailey of CT; and her brother Harvey Gordon and wife Marjorie of NM.Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. All who knew Helen knew that family was most important to her.

REUNION CANCELLED

After much thought and discussions Cliff, Jimmy, and I have agreed for the safety of all, to cancel our class reunion planned for October. We based this conclusion on the current and possible future health environment. At this time, no reschedule date has been set. For all those classmates that have sent me checks, please let me know if you would like a refund.  Stay safe.

OUR 55TH REUNION IS ON!

REUNION EVENTS: 
* ​"Let's Get Together" - Friday, Oct 2nd  - 6:00pm - 10:00pm -  Buffet, No Bar - $45.00 per person
* TBD - Saturday Oct 3rd - 1:00pm - 4:00pm - Cost TBD
* "Celebration" - Saturday Oct 3rd - 6:00pm - 11:00pm - Buffet, DJ, cash bar - $55.00 per person   
* "We Made It" - Sunday Oct 4th - 9:30am - 11:30am - Brunch - $29.00 per person

REGISTRATION FORMS: Soon you will receive an email or a letter containing a '55th Reunion Registration Form'. Please complete the form and submit it with your check as soon as possible — as the time draws nearer, Reunion expenses trickle in, so any money the Reunion Committee receives can be used to apply towards expenses as they crop up. THANK YOU, for early Registrations!

DONATIONS: on the Reunion Registration Form there will be a line for you to make a 'Reunion Sponsor Donation' of any amount you can spare to help us meet the unexpected expenses that sometimes  crop up and surprise the Reunion Planners. In the past we have received donations ranging from $5.00 to $200.00 and it was ALL put to good use.

Found!!

Happy Day! A formerly 'Missing' classmate is missing no more! After twelve years of searching, we've located classmate Ian Stevens! About an hour ago I cold-called a phone number that I hoped would be Ian's — and it WAS! We had an extended chat and he's open and pleased with the concept of 'reconnecting' with former classmates. He's not currently a Facebook user, but I've invited him to join our little OHS '65 FB Group, so hopefully that will become an avenue of connection.
